Concert notice March 2013

Monday 18th March – The rehearsal will be at St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12, 8pm
Thank you everyone who has volunteered to help with the pre- and post concert organsation. I do need two more volunteers (friends/family) to help Front of House.
Friday 22nd November – setting up the stage and the bar in the church.6.30pm
Saturday 23rd November -Front of house and bar -.7pm at the church
Rehearsal – Saturday 23rd November – 2pm, St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road, SW12. Please arrive by 1.45pm in order to be seated. David will want to start the rehearsal promptly at 2pm. Remember to bring your black music covers.
Concert – 7.30pm. Choir to have arrived by 7.15pm
Concert dress – Men: black dinner suits, white shirts and black bow ties
                        Ladies: all black; long/mid calf dresses/skirts/trousers. Sleeved tops. No obvious jewellery
Please do not have bottles of water or handbags on the stage during the performance. Bags can be kept in the Chancel or, even, better with friends or family in the audience.
Party – as always we will be having a post concert party, courtesy of Annette and Julian Armstrong. It will be at 52, Roseneath Road, SW12. The party is a lovely way to end what is always an exciting event. Do come along – and bring friends/family – for conversation, wine and something to eat (£5.00 = a glass + food; £2.00 per glass after that).

Saturday 11th May – Choral Workshop conducted by James Burton (Musical Director Schola Cantorum, Oxford)
This workshop is part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival and promises to be lively, enjoyable and instructive day. Booking details will be available soon.
Saturday 15th June – Les Mis Sing-along – 38 Endlesham Road SW12. Tickets will be limited – so watch this space.
Monday 8th July – AGM, 12 Earlsfield Road, SW18

The Works is the OAE’s unique series that gives audiences a guided tour of selected classical masterpieces.

Saturday 27th April, 7.30pm – St Luke’s Music Society, St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12,. Benjamin Grosvenor with the Endellion String Quartet
