CONCERT NOTICES
Gerontius
24th November
Our concert fast approaches – I attach an electronic version of our poster to send round if you wish.

Rehearsal – Monday 12th November – 8pm, Broomwood Church Hall, Kyrle Road, SW11

Monday 19th November 8pm St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12
These two rehearsals are important for establishing numbers singing – especially the numbers in the various sections – 1sts and 2nds – and we will have a register to help Tim .Please make sure your name is ticked off.  If you will not be at one of these rehearsals but will be singing on the 24th, please could you let us know. If you are (sadly )unable to join us on the 24th, this is the time to drop out.
The final rehearsal before the concert on Saturday is a requirement if you are singing.
As always we will be circulating the list of tasks that are necessary to ensure the concert goes with a swing. Please do sign up if you  – or a member of your family/friend – can help. We need people for Front of House, Bar, setting up/dismantling staging, washing up glasses (take a box home).
Friday 23rd November – setting up the stage and the bar in the church. Please check with Tim Sanders-Hewitt about the time, but we usually ask people to be there from 6.30pm. Do sign up for this when the list goes round. It really does help to have plenty of hands. The same applies after the concert when the stage and the bar have to be taken down and packed away.

Rehearsal – Saturday 24th November – 2pm, St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road, SW12. Please arrive by 1.45pm in order to be seated. David will want to start the rehearsal promptly at 2pm. Remember to bring your black music covers. If you do not have one there will be some to borrow.

Ladies: all black; long/mid calf dresses/skirts/trousers. Sleeved tops. No obvious jewellery
Please do not have bottles of water or handbags on the stage during the performance. Bags can be kept in the Chancel or, even, better with friends or family in the audience. We are planning to have a bar in the Chancel for the Choir
Party – as always we will be having a post concert party, courtesy of Andrew Purkis. It will be at 38, Endlesham Road, SW12.Turn left into Ramsden Road; cross Nightingale Lane at the zebra crossing; turn right down the hill, Endlesham Road is the 1st on the left. The party is a lovely way to end what is always an exciting event. Do come along – and bring friends/family – for conversation, wine and something to eat (£5.00 = a glass + food; £2 subsequent glasses).
