Concert notice + Christmas events

Final Rehearsals + Concert
November 2013
 1) Monday 25/11/13 – rehearsal will be in St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road, SW12 8pm. This is our penultimate rehearsals when we begin to think seriously about seating. Please could you let me know at the rehearsal if you will be singing and if anyone is not there tonight but will be there on Saturday.
Tickets will be available – don’t forget to collect your allocation.
We will also be thinking about the concert arrangements. Please do sign up to help with the staging on Friday22nd in the evening. We will also need bar staff and help with front of house. The lists will be going round – volunteers (friendsfamilies) welcome so please do think about it.
3) Final rehearsal Saturday 30th, 2pm St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12 – obligatory attendance. Please arrive by 1.45pm in order to be seated. We try to keep the arrangement close to the positions of the rehearsals, but this is not completely possible, and you may find yourself in a slightly different position.
4) Concert Saturday 30th– 7.30pm. Choir to have arrived by 7.15pm
Concert dress – Men: black dinner suits, white shirts and black bow ties
                        Ladies: all black; long/mid calf dresses/skirts/trousers. Sleeved tops. No obvious jewellery
Please do not have bottles of water or handbags on the stage during the performance. Bags can be kept in the Chancel or, even, better with friends or family in the audience.
5) Party – I am delighted to announce that our party will be held a 15 Old Park Avenue SW12 8RH.Our hosts are Terry and Angie Coghlan. This is a really great social occasion for everyone – £5 for food and the first glass of wine.  Bring your guests.

Carol singing:
We do not at present organise a Carol Concert. However, The Festival Chorus does sing carols at The Eagle, 104 Chatham Road, Battersea London SW11 6HG
Sunday 15th Dec. Carols at the Eagle – 8pm Everybody welcome
A short “rehearsal” is planned on Monday 2nd December, 8pm at 56 Roseneath Road for anyone who might care to come along.
We will be collecting for The Spires charity.
If you would like other chances to be involved in carol singing, there are a number of initiatives which would welcome volunteers
28th November : Northcote Road Christmas Carol Singing + switching on the Christmas Lights. – 4pm for 4.30pm. Meet outside Northcote Library.

4th DECEMBER, 6.30pm COME AND SING CAROLS All Saints Church, East Sheen, SW14 8AU. A carol concert in support of The Suzy Lamplugh Trust. Volunteers to sing carols would be most welcome
