Advanced notice – Verdi’s Requiem – November 29th 2014

On November 29th we will be performing Verdi’s magnificent Requiem. To do justice to this fantastic piece of music we are looking for new members to join our choral society. If you have taken the summer off and feel you or your friends would like to sing this piece, we will be starting rehearsals on September 1st at our rehearsal venue, Broomwood Methodist Hall, Kyrle Road, Clapham. We provide music as part of our subscription. If you know you would like to sing with us , you might drop us a line via our contacts tab so that we have an idea of numbers. Please also indicate which part you usually sing.

I am an alto & would be interested in doing the Verdi. I already have a score from Choralinr & their CD for the alto part. How much is the sub & do you have concessions? Thanks, Joyce

  2. Norma Romero says:

    Hi Norma,
We don’t have a formal concession but do help if the subscription is an impediment. We are especially looking for sopranos so will be glad to see you. Normally the books are closed after the rehearsals have been running for 4 weeks but if we know you are coming, and on the basis you have sung this piece before I am sure we can make an exception.
Looking forward to hearing from you. If you e mail me via the contacts tab you will get a faster reply as it will come straight into my e mail box.

Hello to all. I’m a soprano and I’m interested in taking part. I was a member 9 years ago. I’ll be on long holidays from 1 to 30 of September. I’ve sung the piece before. Can someone provide more info about subscription and if you have concessions please. Thanks a lot. Norma
